The rose garden is a beautiful park, and its location is right where you can have a view of the old town and river Aare loop. The park is filled with more the 220 different roses, a wide collection of irises and moor bed and 28 different types of rhododendrons.
In 1765 – 1877, the garden served as a cemetery for the lower town. The garden became a park in 1913, filled with beautiful flowers and a pond. Between 1956 – 1962, the park was redesigned ad an iris garden wa introduced. The park has a relaxing atmosphere. |
