GEOGRAPHY

Switzerland has an area of up to 41,295 km2 and a population of about 7.4 million people. It's famous for its beautiful mountains, which cover 60% of the entire country, of which a quarter is forest.

Furthermore it has striking lakes and cities, which are definitely worth a visit as they are full of culture and history. Switzerland is bordered by countries completely.

In the north with Germany, in the east with Austria, in the south with Italy and in the west with France. Due to the mountainous terrain, it has a continental climate with hot summers in the valleys and plains and cold winters in the mountainous areas. In the Ticino region and the western part of Lake Geneva, the temperatures are usually warmer than in the rest of the country.
